Unemployment dropped, to historic lows in many states.
Food stamp rolls plummeted.
Korean leaders praise President Trump for starting peace talks; and Congressional Republicans plan to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Kanye West wore a #MAGA hat, and retweeted Candace Owens, Thomas Sowell, and other black - and other - thinkers and activists critical of the Democratic establishment. President Trump's approval ratings among black men - already higher than those of other recent GOP presidents and presidential candidates - doubled.
French president Macron - one of the best looking European leaders, and the leader of one of America's most important allies - holds hand with President Trump and conducts a very public bromance with him.
Coincidentally, the same week: Mueller threatens to subpoena the President and force him to appear before a grand jury; Assistant Attorney General Rosenstein says he's unaccountable, and any Congressional attempt to have oversight of him or demand that he make documents available to Congress in a timely fashion are "threats" and "extortion;" and the Democratic "news" media goes even more rabid, swinging wildly from talking point to talking point, abandoning charges of Russian collusion for claims of obstruction of justice, and then switching from claims of obstruction to claims of violating campaign finance laws.
Or, perhaps not coincidentally.
The Deep State, and the Democrats, are feeling threatened. The were counting on a "blue wave" to put them back in control of Congress, where they hoped they could impeach a President who has already taken a wrecking ball to some of their failed domestic policies, and seems willing to do the same to their foreign policy and to a lawless, unregulated "intelligence community" aka surveillance apparatus. And in the bipartisan construct of American politics - a construct shored up by media oligopolies (that are de facto corporate PACS), ballot access laws, winner take all elections, and costly compliance with campaign finance laws - the House should see-saw back to Democratic control, given a Republican in the White House.
But President Trump is growing in popularity with black men and other parts of the Democratic base. Polls show millennial voters are growing less enchanted with Democrats (even if they are often becoming independents and third party fans, not always Republicans). And the Democrats' margin on the generic Congressional ballot is shrinking.
Earlier this week in interviews with both Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity, Trump campaign staffer Michael Caputo said he could never again work on a GOP candidate's campaign - the costs of lawyers and travel as he is called to repeatedly testify before investigators about the Trump campaign has bankrupted him. Echoing themes articulated for weeks by Rush Limbaugh, Caputo said the goal of the Democratic/governmental establishment is to punish - both by smearing their reputations and draining their assets - anyone who aided President Trump, as well as doing the same to President Trump himself and his family. Caputo opined that if in 15 years some billionaire thinks 'My country is broken, I need to run for office' and help fix it, spouse and family will deter him (or her) from doing so ("remember what happened to Donald Trump").
Today that this strategy is part of the mentality of the D.C. swamp was made clear: a member of the White House press corp asked Sarah Huckabee Sanders if she worried about criminal liability because of her answers to questions about President Trump, Michael Cohen, Stormy Daniels, etc.
It's obvious that the Democratic establishment (in both government and media) would happily use the threat of criminal prosecution against staffers to obstruct every policy of the Trump administration, even if doing so led to increased unemployment, growing food stamp dependency, conflict in Korea, etc.
And they would also happily use that threat against supporters and campaign staffers. And not just against Trump and his supporters, but against any politician or party that threatens the lucrative pay for play welfare and regulatory state that have designed to reward their donors and allies and punish their opponents. And they would use these same threats against anyone else, from any party.
Anyone who wants to RESIST this actual fascism - more Mussolini than Hitler, despite the anti-semitism and racism also brewing in the Democratic Party - the Democrats have concocted, anyone - including libertarians and other critical of President Trump - must support Trump over Mueller, Rosenstein, Comey, McCabe, Clapper, Brennan, and the rest of the corrupt and lying agents of the Democrats' Deep State.
