Stay Home and Read This! - A COVID-19 Reading Sampler (March 31, 2020)

We are offering our top 10 selections, probably daily, of the best articles and podcasts on COVID-19 and American policy responses.

Overall our reading leads us to think there ARE and SHOULD BE "libertarians in a pandemic," and that indeed non-libertarian policies are what make responses to the pandemic inadequate.

1) Democratic Governors hoard ventilators, demand the federal government supply more, and falsely claim they are now rationing them.

2) Van Gogh painting stolen while Amsterdam museum closed due to coronavirus.

3) Certificate of Need regulations have prevented hospitals from having enough beds, ventilators, and equipment.

4) French police asked "Can my husband see his mistress?" during lockdown.

5) Economists say the lockdown will lead to suicide and deaths from drug addiction.

6) Libertarians protest lock down at Michigan state capitol.

7) German regional finance minister commits suicide, possibly because of coronavirus.

8)  Coronavirus vs influenza, compare the statistics.

9) China places mass orders of cremation urns, despite saying epidemic over.

10) Chinese censorship makes official reports on coronavirus unreliable.
