Stay Home and Read This! A Coronavirus Reading Sampler (April 14, 2020 Evening Edition)

We are offering our top 10 selections, probably daily, of the best (most interesting, weirdest) articles and podcasts on COVID-19 and American policy responses.

Overall our reading leads us to think there ARE and  SHOULD BE "libertarians in a pandemic," and that indeed non-libertarian policies are what make responses to the pandemic inadequate.

1) The CIA warned its employees not to take hydroxychloroquine in March. (Sara Carter)

2)  Bezos and Gates as the heroes who made the pandemic almost tolerable.  (New Ideal)

3) Little tyrants - state and local - prevent you from going to church or synagogue, seeing your family, or engaging in any other kind of assembly.  This eradicates all social institutions that are alternatives to government.  (The Federalist)

4) Public health bureacracies failed at every level in responding to coronavirus.  (reason)

5) Heritage Foundation issues plan for re-opening economy. (PJ Media)

6) World Wrestling Entertainment ruled an essential service in Florida.  (Fatherly)

7) Eighty million Americans begin receiving checks April 15.  (The Epoch Times)

8)  Socialists hope that union organizing of aggrieved essential workers exploited by government demands will lead to more socialism.  (The Intercept)

9)  DIY salon services epic failures (Bored Panda)

10)  The more dangerous pandemic is authoritarianism.  (CapX)
