Through the Barney Charter School Initiative, Hillsdale is helping groups of concerned parents and educators start and operate classical charter schools in their community. In fact, we have already helped found 20 classical charter schools in nine states, with additional schools opening each year. All of these schools feature a classical curriculum that promotes civic virtue and moral character and serve as an antidote to the typical public school education most children receive.
