Stay Home and Read This! A Coronavirus Reading Sampler (April 14, 2020)

We are offering our top 10 selections, probably daily, of the best (most interesting, weirdest) articles and podcasts on COVID-19 and American policy responses.

Overall our reading leads us to think there ARE and  SHOULD BE "libertarians in a pandemic," and that indeed non-libertarian policies are what make responses to the pandemic inadequate.

1) People protest government lockdowns in Michigan and around the country.  (FOX News)

2) Will Joe Biden wear latex gloves when he vets Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer as a Veep candidate?  (Twitter)

3)  Will Trump enact Medicare for All as a response to COVID-19? (Washington Babylon)

4) White House produces video of Democrats praising President Trump on coronavirus.  (Washington Examiner)

5) A small but growing number of medical professional express doubt about official statistics.  (Collective Evolution)

6) The market economy is moving to make up for constant government failure during coronavirus.  (The Freeman)

7)  Hospitals around the country empty, failing financially, laying off nurses, due to refusing patients who do not have coronavirus. (CNBC

8)  An economist calls for ending the lockdown now.  (American Institute of Economic Research)

9) Michael Avenatti released, Roger Stone in jail: two tiered justice system under COVID-19 releases.  (USA Today)

Was he released in time to replace Biden at the nominating convention?

10)  Unemployment Offices by State (WMAL)
